Problem analysis and countermeasures

I. Noise in work of bearings:

1. Metal high-pitched noise:

• insufficient lubrication of bearings (improve lubrication);
• too small backlash (adjust backlash);
• bad landing of the bearing in the seat (explore the ability of self-centering and method of installation in the seat);
• large loading (re-check the shaft and socket tolerances).

2. Metal low-pitched noise:

• brilling of raceway surface (avoid shock loads).

3.Constant noise:

• corrosion and damage in the places of contact of rolling elements and rolling raceways (re-check, replace sealings and re-lubricate the bearing);
• flaking of raceway surface (improve lubrication and re-check the landing, backlash and method of installation).

4. Unregulated noise:

• penetration of foreign particles on the rolling raceway of the bearing (re-check, replace sealings and lubricate again);
• large backlash (adjust the backlash);
• damage and flacking of rolling elements (reduce the load and / or backlash).

5. Variable noise:

• variable backlash (analyze the material of landing and temperature sockets);
• damage of raceways (improve lubrication and re-check landing, backlash and method of installation).

II. Strong vibration during operation of bearings:

• flaking of raceway and rolling elements (improve lubrication and re-check the landing, backlash and method of installation);
• penetration of foreign particles on the rolling raceway of the bearing (re-check, replace sealings and lubricate again);
• large backlash (adjust the backlash);
• wrong position (provide landing of the bearing in the socket without bias).

III.  Increased heat:

• too small backlash (adjust backlash);
• wrong position (provide landing of the bearing in the socket without bias);
• large load (re-check the shaft and socket tolerances);
• insufficient lubrication (review type and quantity of lubricant);
• slight sliding (service the recommended shaft and landing sockets).

IV. Insufficient or incorrect lubrication:

• large amount of plastic lubricant (fill with significant amount of lubricant);
• penetration of foreign particles (re-check, replace sealings and lubricate again).
